Biography of Adoniram Judson

Adoniram Judson was an American missionary who spent decades in Burma translating the Bible, preaching, and establishing churches. His linguistic skill and perseverance made him one of the most influential missionaries of the nineteenth century.

Judson translated several hymns into Burmese and encouraged congregational singing as a way to strengthen worship. His Burmese hymnbook helped establish a foundation for local Christian music and supported early church gatherings.

Judson collaborated with Burmese believers, fellow missionaries, and mission boards in America who supported his translation and evangelistic work.
