Proverbs Chapter 12 Verse 22
“Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.”
Honesty reflects a heart aligned with Gods truth. This message is echoed in the hymn O For A Closer Walk With God, which offers a gentle reminder of Gods steady presence and the hope He provides. Reading the Bible is essential for every Christian because it shapes the mind, nourishes the spirit, and anchors the soul in the promises of God. Scripture brings clarity when life feels confusing, comfort when the heart feels burdened, and wisdom for every step of the journey. Through the living words of the Bible, believers learn how to trust God more fully, walk with courage, and grow in grace each day. The verse declares, Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.
