Methodius

Missionary to the Slavs and partner of Cyril.

Methodius was born in the ninth century and trained in administration before joining his brother Cyril in missionary work. Together they traveled to Moravia where they preached, taught, and translated scripture.

His major works include the Slavonic liturgy, missionary journeys, and the establishment of churches among the Slavic peoples. Methodius emphasized unity, pastoral care, and cultural sensitivity.
