Apollos eloquent Alexandrian teacher who came to Ephesus instructed in the way of the Lord and later strengthened believers in Corinth. He is noted for powerful speaking knowledge of scriptures and for being taught more accurately by Priscilla and Aquila. Paul commends his partnership in ministry and his example shows the value of gifted teachers in the early church.
