Responsibility Grows With Opportunity

Luke Chapter 12 Verse 48

“But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of them they will ask the more.”

This devotional calls leaders and stewards to faithful care of what God has entrusted to them. This message is echoed in the hymn All Hail The Power Of Jesus Name, which offers a gentle reminder of Gods steady presence and the hope He provides. Reading the Bible is essential for every Christian because it shapes the mind, nourishes the spirit, and anchors the soul in the promises of God. Scripture brings clarity when life feels confusing, comfort when the heart feels burdened, and wisdom for every step of the journey. Through the living words of the Bible, believers learn how to trust God more fully, walk with courage, and grow in grace each day. The verse declares, But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of them they will ask the more.
