Biography of Rex Humbard

Rex Humbard was a pioneering televangelist whose Cathedral of Tomorrow services were broadcast across North America. Based in Akron Ohio, he used television to extend his church ministry and became one of the first pastors to build a large media centered congregation.

His major work was the Cathedral of Tomorrow television program, which featured sermons, music, and family participation. Humbard use of television as a central ministry platform influenced later church based broadcasts and megachurch media strategies.
